Zaragoza

(visit the map for hotel selection)

Zaragoza has been chosen to host EHEC 2005 for a number of reasons, most notably:

bulletThe support of the regional authorities (Aragón), especially that of the Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Government of Aragón.
bulletThe wager that Aragon region enterprises and society are placing on the future of hydrogen as an energy vector, through the “Foundation for the Development of the New Technologies of Hydrogen in Aragón”.
bulletThe sensitivity of the city and the region to "clean energies” and to the sustainability of the energy system.
bulletZaragoza's "Palacio de Congresos" auditorium is a very suitable setting for the Conference, with its modern facilities and vanguard style. More info about the auditorium at http://www.auditoriozaragoza.com.
bulletZaragoza is distinguished for having a great quality and varied hotel offer. You can reserve a hotel room amongst a wide range of categories and prices in the registration form.

In addition, Zaragoza offers the visitor a wide range of cultural events and interesting historic sites, along with many fine restaurants featuring local and Spanish and international cuisines. The city and is well connected to all major Spanish airports (with High Speed Train to Madrid).

On December 16th, 2004, Zaragoza was elected Hosting City for the 2008 International Exhibition, with the theme Water and Sustainable Development, by the Member States of the International Exhibitions Bureau during the General Assembly. This fact has been an international acknowledge of Zaragoza's capability for organizing big events, and shows how clean energies and renewable resources are considered.
