Baden-Württemberg is one of Germany’s top hydrogen regions: With world leading technology providers along the whole value chain as well as excellent research institutions. THE LÄND is boosting the hydrogen economy with numerous projects by investing around 500 Mio. Euros. It is also characterized by a high demand of hydrogen. Since 2025, Baden-Württemberg and Andalucia signed a MoU to promote hydrogen activities in both regions. The state’s innovation-agency e-mobil BW coordinates the hydrogen initiatives in Baden-Württemberg – in the LÄND.
